2026 Donruss Baseball writes another chapter in Panini’s comprehensive flagship brand, and it will include all the typical flourishes of the brand.
From a variety of parallels and crisply designed inserts that feature some of today’s top stars, along with plenty of yesterday’s heroes and a sizable chunk of tomorrow’s future stars, the Donruss product follows a familiar troupe — though not without some changes.

Hobby boxes have a new configuration in 2026, but there is still the same amount of cards per box. Panini has shifted from 24 packs of 8 cards to 12 packs of 16 cards, and collectors can still expect a combined three autographs or memorabilia cards per box.
2026 Donruss Baseball Checklist Overview
The main focus for the Donruss flagship set continues to be retired greats and minor league prospects, giving Panini a wider crop of players to choose from due its licensing constraints with MLB and the MLBPA.
Collectors will need 200 cards to complete a base set, and each of those cards will have a wide range of parallels.

All cards also get a chromium upgrade with Optic versions — including more parallels to complete rainbows.

Collectors will find a combination of hard-signed and sticker autographs throughout the product.
Next Day Autographs are struck on card and feature the best of the best when it comes to rising prospects, including Eli Willits, the top pick in the 2025 MLB Draft.

Get To Know Autographs are also back on tap. These cards include a player’s signature as well as their hand-written answers to a few biographical questions.
Other returning concepts include Rated Prospects Autographs and Signature Series, which will both have several parallels.

Ballpark Stars bring an extra chase to the product, putting prominent athletes from other sports into packs. Autographed versions of athletes tossing out a first pitch at a baseball game include WNBA standouts Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, and NBA rookie V.J. Edgecombe.

Flagship Donruss boxes are typically loaded with inserts, and that’s the case again in 2026.
With one insert per hobby pack, there will be all kinds of concepts, and lucky collectors will unwrap tough pulls.
Panini’s Alter Ego cards may be familiar to multi-sport collectors, and they are making their baseball debut in 2026. The cards do not paint players as a different character (as Topps did in 2025), but they utilize background imagery that plays off a team name or a player’s nickname.

Also new to baseball are Downtown Duos. These cards typically pair a current player with a past star from the same team.

Rounding out the new-to-baseball tough pulls is Animations, which speaks for itself.
